School started not too long ago and I know a lot of you may have started or are continuing grad school. I am not a grad student, so I asked two of my friends who are pursuing their PhD’s to share the items they think will be most helpful for grad students. Thanks Vee & Gabby for the recommendations! I hope these sustainable grad school supplies will help you with your studies. Also, I want to wish you the best of luck with your grad school education! I also have some blog posts about must have eco-friendly school supplies for all ages and tips for back to school shopping on a budget.
1. Planners
Keep track of important dates and deadlines with a cute eco-friendly journal
2. Notebook
Recycled and eco-friendly notebooks are a must to stay organized
3. Laptop
Buying a used laptop is the most sustainable option. You can buy one on eBay* or get an open box item from Best Buy.
4. Healthy Snacks
Packing healthy treats will help get you through the day. You can’t go wrong with fruits & veggies! Or maybe even trail mix.
5. Reusable Mug
Get through your early morning or mid-day slump with some coffee or tea.
6. Tupperware/Lunchbox
Avoid ziplock plastic bags by bringing your own tupperware or lunch box. If you do decide to use ziplock bags – consider rewashing them after use. If you’re looking for a ziplock alternative, stasher bags make a great replacement.
7. Recorder
Going back and listening to lectures can be super useful. Consider buying a used recorder from Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace
8. Gym Attire & Workout Bags
Working out before or after class can help stimulate your mind.
9. Travel Containers
Containers are perfect to keep essential items like lotion in your backpack. Or if you plan on working out, they are good for storing shampoo & conditioner. Consider upcycling your old makeup bottles or medicine prescription bottles. as travel toiletry containers or switch to bar lotions and bar shampoos.
10. Laptop/Tablet Case
Protect your laptop with a super cute eco-friendly case. Check eBay* for cute new & used cases.
