My name is Tyler Chanel. I’m the creator behind Thrifts & Tangles.
Originally from Las Vegas, I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology at UNLV, then moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue a career in modeling.
When I’m not modeling or blogging, you’ll find me at my 9 to 5 working at an insurance agency!
You’ll also find me hanging out with my husband and daughter. I’m a new mom and learning to navigate this new stage in life!

Thrifts and Tangles began in 2012 as a way for Tyler to document her natural hair journey. After receiving several questions about her secondhand clothing from friends and family, she expanded into sharing thrifted fashion.
Now her digital platforms provide educational tips and resources to encourage millennial women to give thrifting, sustainability, and their natural selves a chance!
