Yellow is such a beautiful color, however I am usually terrified to wear it. I don’t want to end up looking like a(n) [insert anything obnoxiously yellow here]. So to be safe I stay away from this color. That was until I learned about Color Analysis, and realized that yellow clothing shouldn’t be scary to wear. With with color analysis you can determine the right shades for your skin tone according to your skin color, eye color, and hair color. This video by Mimi Ikonn is a great resource to determine which colors work for you. Using color analysis helped me find the right share of yellow for my skin tone.
Normally I don’t care about fashion rules, and I tend to wear what I want, but after doing a color analysis on myself, it revealed that fall colors look best on me (i.e. mustard yellow). I realized I never liked wearing yellow, because I was wearing the wrong shade of yellow. Now that I know which shade to wear, there will be lots of yellow in my future.
This cute Club Monaco dress was only $6 at Savers Thrift Store. This turquoise necklace is from Savers Thrift Store as well. I love how mustard yellow and turquoise look together. It is a combination that never fails.
