In 2021, I started talking more about the business side of blogging and started sharing tips on how to grow on social media. This is a new content pillar for me, but something I’m super passionate about. I sprinkled this in with my normal thrifting, natural hair, and blogging content. I’m so happy that the social media/blogging posts made it into the 2021 top spots because I wasn’t sure how people would feel about them. So far, it seems like this is content you and my other readers enjoy, so I will keep these coming!

I’m learning that my home decor video content outperforms everything else I create! Based on the numbers, I know I should hyper-focus on this content pillar, but I am hesitant to do so. I’ve heard that hyper-focusing on a niche for growth can be hindering for content creators. It’s a great strategy to grow a following quickly, but it is not super sustainable. Meaning, when creators hyperfocus on one niche, they get burnt out and start resenting content creation. I’m scared that will happen to me if I hyperfocus on home stuff. Plus, the idea of having to clean my 600 sq ft apartment every time I want to create content stresses me out a little bit. So, we’ll see what happens here.
Thanks again for being a part of the T&T community. I appreciate you so much for all of your support and am looking forward to creating more content this year.
