Did you set any resolutions last year? I made quite a few resolutions for 2019. In 2019, my goals were to listen to more audiobooks, practice more self-care, work out regularly, drink more water, further educate myself on sustainability and be more present. Let’s do a 2019 goal recap and set some resolutions for 2020.
Reflecting on my 2019 goals
Listen to more audiobooks
- I thought I would love listening to audiobooks, but only ended up listening to half of one in 2019
- It turns out I prefer listening to podcasts or actually reading books
- I loved the 1619 podcast and the Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast
Practice more self-care
- My Sundays were dedicated to deep-conditioning and caring for my hair
- I need to incorporate more practices for caring for my inner-self
Work out & drink more water
- I joined aerial yoga and loved it
- I quit aerial yoga after a month to save money and decided to work out at home (which turned into me never working out)
- Drank an average of 1-2 glasses of water each day
Further educate myself on sustainability
- Listened to some sustainability podcasts (i.e. Trash Talking with Eco-Warriors and the Pre-loved podcast)
- Attended talks about sustainability
- Still want to take a class on the topic
Be more present
- Spent a lot of time distracted and on the phone
- Was always thinking about my business
- Need to focus more on what is happening in the moment
My goals for 2020:
Set boundaries
This is something I have never done and it is starting to take a toll on my overall wellbeing. Learning to say no and teaching others to respect my boundaries is something I am working on every single day.
Develop a workout routine
I want to find an activity that I love so working out won’t feel like a chore. Maybe I will get back into aerial yoga?
Connect with more creatives
In Vegas, I worked with so many amazing photographers and creative people for modeling. I would love to do the same in LA. I want to create amazing art in 2020!
